We are currently recruiting for a Senior Front End Developer to support our client's project needs. This project runs front office technology operations of one of the world's largest capital market businesses. The project is looking for a hands-on, JavaScript and HTML5 senior developer to design and develop Greenfield and existing applications for their NY based UI side development team. 



This is a great opportunity for a self-starter with excellent development & communication skills to drive the next generation of GUI applications for the global financial business.


 


Responsibilities include: 





  • Capture, analysis and design on the e-commerce platform 

  • Testing and QA coordination 

  • Liaison with the global business, support and development teams 

  • Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues 

  • Third line support of the platform during trading hours 

  • Close interaction with the business product manager


 


 


Requirements include:

 



  • Min. 3+ years Web Development experience 

  • Min. 3+ years full-stack development experience 

  • Min. 2+ years' experience in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript 

  • Single Page Application design (ex. Angular, Knockout, React.js) 

  • Experience working in a finance technology team 

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle 

  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, problem solving 

  • Experience refactoring code, evolving architectures, and Unit Testing 

  • Knowledge of FX is desirable 

  • Experience of working with large financial software systems 

  • Knowledge of e-Trading or e-commerce applications is desirable 

  • Excited about modern web development - you have educated opinions about Angular vs React, are familiar with ECMAScript6 and TypeScript, and know that Grunt, Gulp, Bower, Jasmine and Karma aren't just random words
