The Operations Manager must ensure the smooth operation of various processes of assigned duties of the staff, as well as actively working the duties and responsibilities of the various job duties as required or needed.



Essential Functions

• Ensure all office operations are executed and adhered to against specific company policies and procedures to include, but not limited to purchasing, inventory control, key control/management, employee, and customer relations.
• The Operations Manager will be charged with ensuring a positive culture where the work can get done and will facilitate communication between employees and departments.
• In direct cooperation and communication with our corporate departments, the Operations Manager will ensure that standard procedures are followed with 3rd party relations. This includes the monitoring and analysis of performance with independent contractor cleaners, vendors, and Personal Care personnel, making sure they properly execute agreed terms and conditions, and quality of work is aligned with standards.
• Supervise, coach, and discipline office staff as required to maintain properly functioning operation.
• Handle emergency phone calls.
• Knowledge of safety management principles; Federal and state OSHA regulations.
• Delegate tasks and accountability are necessary to accomplish day-to-day duties while embracing the “hands-on” philosophy.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report outstanding performance as well as deficiencies.
• Liaison with top management. Communicate any operational deficiencies that inhibit the effective functioning of processes and procedures.
• Implement and manage operational plans as directed by direct supervisors and company policy and procedures.
• Drive initiatives of the company that contributes to short-term and long-term operational excellence.
• Formulate suggestions on how to make optimum use of the current resources of the organization that will improve overall performance while supporting visions and philosophies.
• Manage difficult guest situations and unit owner situations, responding promptly to guest needs, solicits guest feedback to improve service, responds to request for service and assistance, and meet commitments.
• Audit properties for cleaning and maintenance.
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by Executive Leadership, as needed, to maintain company standards and operating efficiencies.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work



We are open and operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Employees are required to be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The position will require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Scheduled hours are based upon the needs of the business.



Required Education and Experience



Experience Preferred Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school; or Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of two years related experience and/or training in the hospitality industry. Hospitality experience - with a hotel chain or Vacation Rental Club is preferred.



Additional Eligibility Qualifications



Communication Skills
Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
and possess excellent telephone etiquette. Ability to answer guest’s questions and successfully resolve issues and/or negotiate matters related to guest’s needs. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business contracts and write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and/or staff. Must maintain clear and concise documentation and a positive approach to conflict resolution.


 


Computer and Mathematical Skills


 


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Must possess a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, etc).



Reasoning Ability



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
