Location: Orlando, FL – willing to pay relocation


Remote?: Hybrid – mandatory 2 days in office (of your choosing)


 


Our client is a service based engineering firm focusing on providing their clients (architects) Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Structural, Energy Efficient, and Healthcare Engineering services. They have 400 total employees across the country in 16 offices. Our Client prides themselves on having a very tenured staff with low turnover (they’re averaging less than 6.5%!) and really driving in on employee satisfaction. Along with their vision for complete company Transparency, they’ve implemented quarterly “Townhall” meetings to talk about the company's current standings and trending patterns for the future. They also hold individual branch assemblies compromising of in office happy hour with games and activities to celebrate branch milestones, birthdays, anniversaries, and other big news.


 


Expected Duties of the Director of Human Resources:



  • Plan, lead, develop and coordinate company policies

  • Ensure legal compliance and implementation of company’s missions and employee strategies

  • Oversee benefits and 401K process including negotiating with vendors and annual enrollment initiatives

  • Direct HR Staff in updating employee handbooks

  • Create and oversee implementation of companywide Inclusion and Diversity program

  • Works with Senior Leadership to create viable strategies pertaining to recruiting and employee retention

  • Updates Executive and Senior Leadership of changes in HR Compliance and Employment laws

  • Will manage a team of 2 Direct Reports and 5 Indirect reports 


Requirements for the Director of Human Resources:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related field

  • Master’s degree or SHRM a plus

  • 15 years minimum with progressive advancement

  • Currently titled Director or higher

  • Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry experience will be a slam dunk but not required
