A top growing community bank in Tampa, FL is seeking an AML/BSA Account Opening Associate to help on a client on-boarding project. This is a temporary opportunity with possibility of extensions.

The AML/KYC Account Opening Associate plays a critical role in the setup of clients. They have strong working knowledge of performing due diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence and quality assurance functions and ensure that the firms KYC and AML requirements are met for all clients. The AML/KYC AML/KYC Account Opening Associate will also review and validate client records, perform searches, conduct EDD and request supporting evidence for OFAC/Sanction screening and negative media cases.
Review and approval of KYC documentation, information, research and Due Diligence for new and existing clients and make sure accounts are in compliance to banks policies
Complete and review CTR
Develop a strong working relationship with team members, AML Compliance, Quality Assurance and banks clients
Perform EDD and media searches on clients and related parties
Ensure proper escalation, vetting and approval of Negative Media and AML/Sanctions Alerts
Liaise with internal teams discuss AML/KYC requirements and convey KYC approval status
Ensure all policy required client documents/records are complete and accurate
Assist with audits and AML/KYC related issues
Assist with departmental projects
B.A. Degree or equivalent
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in financial services operations, compliance, or client service preferred
Knowledge of AML, CIP, EDD and KYC regulatory requirements
AML/KYC experience needed- CAMS certification is a plus
Strong working experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
General understanding of banking businesses and products is a plus
