The Accounting Manager will interface with department managers to report current financial standings including all variances. This role is highly exposed to Executive Leadership and is an integral part of the financial reporting process.
Accounting Manager Duties:
·The Accounting Manager will perform month end closing activities including posting Journal Entries, reconciling General Ledgers and producing Financial Statements.
·Establish strong budgetary guidelines and work with department heads to stay within budget
·Perform all calculations to accurately provide Management with WIP (Work In Progress) schedules.
·Review and report all variances to Executive Leaders
·Present Financial Statements in monthly meetings with full variance narratives.
·Ensure all AP, AR, and Payroll processes are completed accurately and on time.
·Manage a department of 2 direct reports, posing as their backup when necessary
·The Accounting Manager will also assist with other cost saving initiatives at the direction of Executive Leadership
Requirements of the Accounting Manager:
· Bachelor's degree Accounting or related field
· 3+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager managing an Accounting Team
