Ascendo Resources is looking for a Book Keeper for our client in Houston,Texas.This book keeper should have considerable knowledge of bookkeeping and payroll principles, practices, laws, policies, rules and procedures. You will verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in QuickBooks from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts, reconciles and balances accounts.


  • Pay bills, prepare bills for clients, deposit money, enter expenses into TABs and QuickBooks

  • Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations

  • Process bi-weekly payroll

  • Maintain vacation and sick time for staff

  • Meet with vendors for office related items


  • Minimum 4 years of general office/clerical experience

  • Must be experienced with MS Excel, Word and Outlook, QuickBooks and TABs

  • Aptitude for numbers and problem-solving

  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail

  • Bookkeeping skills, general knowledge of payroll

  • High level of professionalism

  • High-energy and positive attitude

  • Outstanding work record (No job hoppers!)

  • Organized and dependable self-starter that can manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
